Membership

     The mission of the SMSH Alumni Association is to advance the interests of South Miami Senior High School, the students, faculty, alumni, and the community at large. We promote fellowship amongst alumni, develop and assist in fundraising activities to provide financial support to the school and students for educational purposes through academic programs, extracurricular activities, tools, and equipment.


     By joining the alumni association, you will be instrumental in helping us reach our goals. We are a Florida, non-profit organization with tax-exemption status through the IRS 501 (c) (3). All graduating seniors and alumni have free lifetime membership upon set up. See below.

How might South Miami Senior High Alumni Association benefit you?

  1. Reconnect with fellow classmates and SMSH alumni, while developing new relationships personally and professionally.
  2. Gain a valuable experience and add on to your resume by joining and helping in SMSHAA sponsored projects and events. Additionally, a year of active SMSHAA committee volunteering will give an opportunity (once you meet requirements) to be a part of our dynamic team and apply for a Board of Director position.
  3. Opportunities to network, expand professional contacts, and advance your career with help from fellow alumni through private networking groups on Facebook, Zoom meetings, and other social media platform such as LinkedIn,
  4. Make a lasting impact on the education of SMSH students through our scholarship fund.

How to Set Up a Membership Account


Any person who is an alumnus of South Miami Senior High school or attended South Miami Senior High school (upon verification through the SMSH Registrar) qualifies as a member. Alumni are eligible for membership upon registration on the South Miami Senior High website.
